passenden, wahren amerikanische Superhelden. In seiner
Zerrissenheit ist der Pornostar ein Symbol für den
amerikanischen Traum, bzw. das, was aus ihm geworden ist.
Nirgends ist der Ruhm und die Schönheit, die Liebe, so Fake
wie hier. Diese Zerrissenheit hat er mit der amerikanischen
Nation gemeinsam, die zwischen Freiheit und Totalitarismus,
Religion und Wissenschaft, Prüderie und milliardenschwerer
Pornoindustire schwankt und zerbricht.
This is a series of Paintings, that show Pornstar
Autographs, blown up in size up to 200x160cm. Pornstars are
the true american Superheroes, they are a perfect metaphor
for the american dream, or to be more specific, what has
become of it. The "Stardom" of these girls is equally blown
up, but the way to the gutter is short - this fame is very
fragile indeed. Also, in all its ambivalence , the american
Pornstar with all his possible fake bodyparts and torn self,
is the perfect superhero for a nation that is deeply
divided and full of ambivalence itself - not only towards
its own Pornindustry.

"Chasey in Wonderland" nimmt den amrikanischen Pornostar als
Symbol für die oberflächlichste aller Oberflächen und stellt
ihn neben Bilder der harten Realität die unter diesen
Oberflächen lauert - und von der wir nicht wirklich wissen
wollen: Krieg, Leid und Armut. Pornstars sind ein passendes
Symbol, weil der Schein eines glamorösen Lebens nirgends
anders so übertrieben und falsch wirkt. Hinter den
geschminkten, bearbeiteten Körpern alleine schon schimmert
die Wahrheit, die grausame, durch. In Verbindung mit Bildern
von Terror, Krieg - aber auch anderen Symbolen unserer Zeit,
wird der Kontrast verstärkt.
This Series take the glamorous american Pornstars (as an
symbol for superficiality and makebelief) and compare those
to other pictures, mostly of horrific scenarios, the reality
of our world, the sad truths that we dont even want to know
exist. But the Horror and agony is always there - not only
that, we are only able to live in safety and prosperity
because most of the world lives in poverty, war and pain.
American Pornstars are fitting models for this series. What
they dream of, I dont know - but they wont get the respect
they deserve, while everybody will make money of them
nevertheless - be it some sleazy porn-nerd, the american
government (it a billion $ industry) or the massmedia.
